Target audience (Indie Game)

For the indie game documentary the target audience will be a young assorted group of gamers mainly male but gamer is a diverse term meaning there can be females as well the age group will be mainly young adults varying from eighteen to twenty five.

I picked this audience;from what i have seen in the gamer community and also the job MARKET

people who have an interest in this specific subject fit the details previously given above.

Documentary Idea 1 (Indie Game)

For one of my documentary idea i would to look at the rate of independent game companies growing in the UK by making a documentary on local companies based in manchester and talk about up coming projects along with the struggle of keeping the company going along with how its hard to COMPETE

with bigger branded companies such as sony and watch dog.

Target Audience (Martyr Defiled)

In this specific documentary my target audience will be directed towards the fans of this specific music type known as "Hardcore" or similar music.

Screamo is used in a lot of different music type in this generation so along with "Hardcore"audiences who listen to another type of screamo music would also be interested in this documentary.

There is no specific age group as this music is listened to be people of an assortment of ages from as young eight and to as old as sixty so there really is no specific age gap.

However for this documentary i would class the age group as young adults from ages eighteen to twenty five as "Martyr Defiled" are currently popular but not to lengths of being world known so this age group fits them perfectly as their music is quite dark and has some dark some lyrics along with some graphic music videos with some disturbing scenes.

Documentary Format 2 (Observational)

As the name states this type of documentary is used as a way to observe to others mainly used in documentaries about wild life or nature this documentary is used to inform and educated others about certain areas in the world.

They can be used to observe other subjects such as news or if told on correct way it can be used in the way of a social experiment

Documentary Idea 2 (Martyr Defiled)

For my second documentary idea i would like to look at local bands in the Manchester area.

However it will be to a specific type of music this will specific genre is known as "Hardcore or Post Hardcore"

Typically called screamo in which the singer or vocalist screams or shouts the words in a sense of anger the music is effect to solve anger problems.

It also has a deep seeded dark passion to the audience it relives stress and helps create some strong music.

The reason i want to do this is to reduce the stereotype that Hardcore bands receive from other people who aren't a fan and call the band no talent singers or just not talented who often thing that this music is a joke and should be stopped.

So i would like to get opinions from the band on why people think this also how hard it is to become a famous "Hardcore" at this time.

I will be speaking to Martyr Defiled and if possible an assortment of other bands they have worked with or have toured with.

Documentary Format 1 (Expository)

Expository documentaries as the name says are used to expose or investigate the truth about a specific subject often use as a window to investigate previous cases of incidents or to find out more about this subject by digging deeper.
