Impartiality within the press

In a series of ACCOUNTS described as "heart-rending", many said they stayed silent until the years after his death in 2011, because they did not think their word would be believed victims have highlighted important ways in which police responses can be improved.

This quote states that the police who found out that Jimmy Savile the man accused by many victims was in fact guilty but the police were to late in there efforts to apprehend him However victims came out after his death making it in affective for him to get a sentence in prison if they appealed sooner he would of been caught.
This quote tackles both sides of the police and the victims putting them at equals points in the argument.

Objectivity and subjectivity

"Mosley was driving and she said they had left the UK the previous day. She CLAIMED the couple were looking at campsites in the country.
But officers ordered the back of the van to be opened and discovered one man crouched on the floor with two more illegal immigrants hiding in a BUNK BED and a fourth hiding in a corner".

The quote states that the potential smuggler is guilty by pointing out a lll the flaws in the plan and only focuses on the evidence given dose not consider that this was not an inside job or that it may not be her it has some evidence but not enough to convict her but the company is making it sound worse then it is.

Accuracy and balance in reporting

Accuracy is at the heart of what we do. It is our job to get it first but it is above all our job to get it right. Accuracy, as well as balance, always takes precedence over speed

This quotes states that journalists have to get the accurate report and facts as it there job to report the truth to the people but also to go to great lengths to receive the information. However they also cannot be corrupted with the news or sugar coat the truth. Also having a balanced mind not to be biased in the evidence they have gathered.

Opinion and bias

"Britons who prize any enlargement of their freedom from justice-cheating crooks and foreigns spongers"Danuta Reah 2002 The Language of News Papers PP47

This quote states that people who believe in the british government believe in the wrong people and that the system is corrupt. It is strongly biased to government parties and voters who have a strong believe in politics and government. On the other hand it dose not focus on a main government party.
